Sent in the distant future, world is infected by a violent pandemic, Andy (Martin Freeman) and Kay (Susie Porter) is a married couple living on a boat to be safe along with their one year old daughter Rosie. Their safety is breached with a violent attack that kills Kay and leaves Andy infected. Andy has only 48 hours left and after that he will turn into a flesh eating creature, so he embarks on a journey to find a guardian for his child. He needs to reach Aboriginal tribe, who can help him but they does not welcome the infected people. His only chance lies with a young girl from the same tribe, who can act as passage for him, but she is on other mission, to get a cure for her infected father.
